Write a 250- to 500-word response to each of the following three exercises, 750 to 1500 words total. Reference this week’s readings to formulate your responses.
• Exercise 1: Consider a research paper you have written. Describe how you selected your topics, chose your research sources, organized your paper, and composed your writing. If you could rewrite that paper, how might you change your approach?
• Exercise 2: Describe how to select an appropriate research topic for an audience. How do you analyze your audience? Why is source credibility important, especially for academic and professional audiences?
• Exercise 3: Discuss the organizing, drafting, and revising strategies outlined in Research Matters that you find most useful for writing academic papers. How will you use these strategies in future writing?
